Foundation Support for Alumni
While the Foundation exists primarily to support current students at South High through grants and recent graduates of South High through scholarships, it can offer a degree of support to alumni. This comes in three main varieties, all based on the list of donors and people who have expressed an interest in being kept up-do-date on the Foundation's activities.
Reunions
The Foundation can provide information for mailings to graduates of specific classes - the Foundation does not underwrite the cost of the mailings, however. That is, if the class of ’66 wants assistance in sending out information, the Foundation can work with representatives of the class. The Foundation will create a list of persons registered with the Foundation and affiliated with a specific year, e.g., the class of '66. It will release that list as an electronic file to a class representative. The file will include the usual contact information: name, postal address, email address, and phone number. It is up to the class representative to prepare mailing labels, etc.
Note that the class representatives cannot release the information for any use beyond the narrow use of helping organize a reunion.

For assistance on a reunion, please contact someone in the Foundation office (see the bottom of the page) or send a note to

Lost Contacts
If an individual (Person A) wants to track down a lost friend (Person B), the Foundation can facilitate that process. The Foundation will not directly release contact information due to data privacy considerations. But it can contact Person B and let Person B know that Person A is trying to contact her or him. It's then up to Person B to determine whether to follow through.
To try to contact a lost friend, send an email note to the Foundation office.
Deceased Graduates
Finally, the Foundation does its best track the death of graduates. You can see the list of those we know about here. If you know of a graduate who has died, please let us know via that same link.
