The work of the Foundation is done almost exclusively by our cadre of volunteers. (We do, however, employ someone to staff the office part-time.) Some volunteer activities happen just once a year and involve only a few hours. Others require more frequent and greater time commitments.
The volunteers perform a variety of essential tasks. These include for example:
- helping with an event (e.g., the golf tournament)
- serving on a committee (e.g. the scholarships or grants committee)
- maintaining this website
- serving on the Board of Directors
And many people do more than one of the above!
Right now, we are looking for someone with QuickBooks and/or bookkeeping skills. This person is needed 2-5 hours per week - the hours are flexible. If you're interested and have these skills, please contact Tom Klein in the Foundation office. Click here to send an email or phone him at 612-668-4344. (And tell him the website sent you!)
To find out more about volunteering in general, click here to send an email to the Board President.
Or you can call or write to the office using the information at the bottom of the page.
